Zucci

Zucci is an establishment which has been operating in Melbourne for over 35 years. The project involved a drastic but highly considered strip-out and deconstruction of the existing volume, effectively hollowing it out to become a blank canvas in which the new salon could take place.

Australian timbers, mild raw steel and an acoustic ceiling made from natural cellulose fibres and 80% recycled newspaper all contribute to specifications that are sustainable, non-toxic and uncomplicated. Economic and environmental sustainability is important to Zucci, who have partnered with Sustainable Salons Australia to eliminate salon waste through resource recovery. Recycling processes are in place for all their products and discarded hair, and all Zucci products are made from naturally derived ingredients and are all 100% vegan and cruelty free.
